A Short Screening and Discussion: Leang Seckon and Dong Jun in Conversation
A short 30 minute screening of work by noted interdisciplinary artists Leang Seckong (painting, installation, performance, video) and Dong Jun (documentary film, photography). In an hour-long dialogue after the screening, the artists will discuss the role of memory and history in their work. What individual and collective memories are we (artists, organizers, institutions) compelled to represent, and what memories do we want to preserve for the future through our programming and artwork? Can history be shared without boundaries?
