LUCKY PIGS OF KAMPONG TRACH: META HOUSE FILM SCHOOL NIGHT

In April 2009 Meta House opened a masters class for young Cambodian filmmakers: The M.E.T.A. Program (Media Education and Training Academy) aims at strengthening the Cambodian film scene and is funded by the Goethe Institut. Tonight's "ScreenDocs" event features student films as well as the new MH production THE LUCKY PIGS OF KAMPONG TRACH in coop. with DAI and USAID. This film by Nico Mesterharm (director), Mark Hammond (camera), Ian White (camera) and Jean Mathis (editing) is an introduction to the pig-farming industry in Kampot. There 39 farmers producing their own pig feed, which is cheaper and better than its imported competitor. Filmmakers will be present.
