１． 趣 旨
女性の人権、女性の能力開発、人材育成等地球規模の課題をテーマに海外専門家を招へいし、アジア太平洋地域の課題分析を行い、海外の研究者や行政関係者、女性団体等指導者との交流を深めるとともに、ネットワークづくりを進める。
今年度のフォーラムにおいては、アジア・太平洋地域の共通の課題である女性のリーダーシップの育成について、海外の研究機関やNGO、国内本部機構などの専門家から最新の国内外の取組みや実態についての報告を受け、解決に向けた必要な方策について議論を進める。

※「平成22年度 アジア太平洋地域の女性リーダーエンパワーメントセミナー」は、国立女性教育会館がアジア太平洋地域の行政官、女性団体の職員、研究者の能力開発を目的として実施している集団研修です。平成22年度は、9月30日（木）から10月9日（土）の日程で、「女性リーダーの育成――日本の経験から考える」をテーマに実施し、研修生は「国際フォーラム」のポスターセッションとパネルディスカッションにも参加します。

1. PURPOSE
National Women's Education Center of Japan (NWEC) invites overseas specialists and analyzes issues pertinent to the Asian Pacific Region around themes of a global scale such as women's human rights and women's capacity building and training; enhance exchange with researchers, government officials and leaders of women's organizations; and build networks.
We will focus on the topic of "Role of Education to Promote Women's Leadership" to discuss means and strategies to solve the issue, especially on awareness raising and international cooperation through activities in the community, school and civil society.
