In this contemporary theater scene, four women confront both their pasts and their future aspirations. 20 year-old Sophea is a Khmer-French woman in search of her roots; 28 year-old Sovandara is a newly-arriving to married in France; 36 year-old Mom is a survivor of the genocide regime and today determined to adopt a little girl in her country of origin; 52 year old Metha was exiled before the war and is now returning to Kampuchea to see her dying mother for the last time.
