The Cambodian Students Association in Japan would like to announce the 2012 CSAJ Academic Conference which is going to be held on Sunday October 7, 2012 at Nagoya University. Since Cambodian students in Japan are residing and studying in different cities and regions, there has hardly been any opportunity to exchange information on each other’s research. It is important to establish a common forum through which the many valuable ideas and research results can be mutually enriched and complemented. This is the first CSAJ initiative to call for an inter-regional academic conference to promote exchange of research results and knowledge among Cambodian students in Japan.
This first conference will be held in Nagoya on Sunday October 7, 2012, featuring one plenary session on research reports and two panel discussions.
Since Cambodian students in Japan are residing and studying in different cities and regions, there has hardly been any opportunity to exchange information on each other’s research. It is important to establish a common forum through which the many valuable ideas and research results can be mutually enriched and complemented.
A one-day conference may be too short for this ambitious function; it can nonetheless be the first step towards that end. For that reason, the October academic conference will be aimed at realizing three main objectives:
(1) to kick off the first inter-regional academic forum to enable Cambodian students in Japan to exchange knowledge and information on their respective research activities and results;
(2) to call for Cambodian researchers and students from different regions and cities to discuss on a practicable plan on the future of this initiative, hoping to develop a more comprehensive long-term common academic forum for Cambodian students to exchange information and knowledge in Japan;
(3) to design a practical system of collecting and disseminating research papers by Cambodian students in Japan by developing the existing CSAJ network and CSAJ website.
CSAJ Committee 2012 therefore would like to encourage all CSAJ members to join in this effort. All CSAJ members can help by participating in the Conference and discussing with each other about how to proceed or simply by showing your interests and help us disseminating the information about the conference, this website and the ideas presented above.
