1: In Cambodia, Valentine's Day is called Sweetheart's Day. Traditional Cambodians see something sinister lurking behind the hearts and flowers; when amorous declarations lead to unprotected sex, an innocent celebration of Cupid and his arrows can turn into social problems.

2: This year, rice farmers were very happy to see their rice yields increasing. Their joy was short-lived once the high yield led to plummeting prices in the market. While the market price for their product is too low, what happens to farmers who borrow from the bank with interests to expand their rice production?
