今までゆるかもの料理教室といえばカンボジア料理教室でしたが、「国際協力団体としてカンボジアだけでなく、他の国についても知識を深めよう!」ということで、今回のサンド会はアジア各国のお菓子を作ります!!

アジアのどこの国のお菓子を作るかというと...
話し合いの結果、

カンボジア、フィリピン、インド、ベトナム

に決定しました。

お菓子を作りながらアジア各国の食文化を楽しく学び、国際問題について考えることで、参加者の方々に少しでも国際協力に興味を持っていただけるようなイベントにしたいと思っております。

さらにせっかく集まっていただいた参加者の皆さんがつながりをもっていただけるような場を企画しています。

学生や社会人の方など様々な世代の方が楽しめるイベントです。たくさんの方々のご参加をお待ちしております!!

「楽しみながら、しかも国際協力」というコンセプトで、かものはしのサポーターやその友人の方々とかものはしスタッフ間の交流を目的としてはじまったチャリティーイベントです。

今では多数のサポーター以外の学生や社会人の方にも参加していただけるイベントに育ちました。

イベントの収益は、かものはしプロジェクトが運営するコミュニティファクトリーで働く女性たちに遠足をプレゼントするための資金として使われます。

Cambodia's indigenous, ethnic minorities live mainly in the Northeast of Cambodia. They endure rapid changes, especially regarding their natural environment. Meta House presents new short films and documentaries from Ratanakiri Province, such as SPIRIT FOREST (2011, 9 mins, Khmer with English) by Ream Chamrouen. FOREST MOUNTAIN VOICES (Ethnic languages with English subs) is an indigenous community media project, promoted by the NGO "Community Forestry International." Staffed entirely by youth from the Tampeun, Jarai, and Kreung indigenous peoples, FMV overcomes barriers imposed by high levels of illiteracy, difficult travel conditions and widespread poverty.

3/15 第2回 ARUNCAFE

ARUN では、改めて社会的投資とは何か、そのインパクトは何か、また社会的投資にどのように関わることができるのか、を皆さまと考えてゆくためのワークショップを企画しました。

ARUN の活動を１つの題材としながら、皆さまと自由に意見を交換できる場としたいと考え、ワールドカフェ形式での開催を予定しています。

１回目のテーマは、「自分がイメージする社会的投資とは？」でした。時間を忘れるくらい白熱した議論となりました。参加者から様々な意見がでました。
２回目のカフェのテーマは、「社会起業家に必要な素養と常に持っていてほしい想いは」 を予定しています。
社会起業を目指す人たちには、様々な知識が必要とされます。単に知識があるだけでなく、起業家は強い信念や想いがないと務まらないと思います。起業するには、どのような想いを持ってほしいのかを考えてみたいと思います。
正解のある題目ではなく、人それぞれによって答えや感じ方は違うもの。
気楽に、ゆっくりと皆さまと意見交換ができ、新しい発見があればと考えています。

MOVE chronicles land-grabbing in the Omlaing commune in Kampong Speu. Locals blame the "Phnom Penh Sugar Company, which is owned by a senator of the ruling party.
STRIKE portrays different actors in the recent strikes in Cambodian garment factories: workers, unions, company owners and government.
PLANTING EFFORTS focuses on the educational situation in rural areas with a moving portrait of one outstanding student.

大学生が見たカンボジアの開発問題
～カンボジアで今何が起きているのか？～

―イベント内容―
カンボジアの教育を支える会（PACE）は、カンボジアの都市プノンペンから2時間半ほど南西に進んだ地域にある“ピス村”に教育及び生活保護支援活動を行っています。

ピス村に住んでいる住民のほとんどは、企業の土地開発によって家を奪われ、強制移住により他の村から引っ越してきました。

この地域には学校や病院、市場などのインフラは未だに整備されておらず、政府や企業もピス村で生じている問題への対応をほとんどしていません。

なぜ教育支援学生団体であるPACEがこのような地域で支援活動を行う必要があるのか・・・
活動地域であるピス村は一体どのような状況であるのか・・・

3.11の東日本大震災で国内情勢が大きく変動している中、カンボジアでの活動に従事する意義とはなにか・・・

PACEの学生メンバーが、上記の問いに答えてゆきながら、カンボジアでの活動経験に基づいて講演をさせていただきます。

"A Reporter's Dangerous Guided Tour through Democratic Kampuchea"

During Cambodia's most desperate hours, Elizabeth Becker, along with a few other journalists, were given a tour of Democratic Kampuchea in 1978. For the first time ever in Cambodia, Elizabeth Becker presents her multi-media exhibit from that trip. The exhibit includes a variety of photos of the country and recordings of interviews with Pol Pot, Ieng Sary and Ieng Thirith. It also includes her recorded narration of the 1978 trip, which ended with an attack on her group and the murder of a British professor.
Elizabeth Becker, former New York Times correspondent and author of When the War was Over, the classic history of Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge, is one of only two Western reporters to visit Cambodia when it was Democratic Kamphuchea.

概要：　タイ国では、アンコールからピマイに至る王道、タイ南部のナコンシータマラート附近、ミャンマーからアユタヤに至るルートなどの東西回廊に関する大規模なフィールド調査や研究が、考古学、人類学、情報学者などの連携のもとに、またカンボジア、マレーシア、ミャンマーなどの研究機関や研究者とも共同して進められています。また、こうしたフィールド調査の結果は、時空間でマッピングされて、Webサイトで公開されています。
本研究会は、タイ国における東西回廊の研究リーダーを務めてこられたチュラチョムクラオ・タイ王国軍大学校スラット・レルトラム氏を招聘して、フィールド調査にもとづく東西回廊研究の現状とWebサイトによる時空間マッピングについて報告いただくとともに、歴史GISの視点からの今後の研究のあり方について意見交換することを目的にしています。

アジアの絵本を読むかい--2月21日は国際母語デー<<2/15にイベント開催！>>

世界で話されている約7,000の言語の50パーセント以上が20--30年のうちに消滅する危機にさらされています。

ユネスコ（国連教育科学文化機関）は、2月21日を「国際母語デー」とし、母語の振興を通じて異なる民族・文化間の寛容と尊敬を確立することを宣言しました。

SVAは、カンボジア、ラオス、ミャンマー（ビルマ）難民キャンプ、アフガニスタンで子どもたちが手にする母語で書かれた絵本の出版をしています。
今回、各国で行われている図書館や出版活動の紹介、絵本の展示と絵本の読み聞かせを行います。

The Asia Research Institute (ARI) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications from postgraduate students who are engaged in research on Southeast Asia to attend the 7th Singapore Graduate Forum on Southeast Asian Studies on 16 – 20 July 2011.

This 3-day forum will be part of ARI’s 5-day Graduate Development Institute and Forum, which in addition to the forum will include two full days of sessions aimed to develop graduate student understandings of academia and relevant skills, through roundtable discussions with faculty, focused practical seminars and breakout group discussions.

This event coincides with the Asia Research Institute’s Asian Graduate Student Fellowship Programme 2012, which brings some 35 graduate students to ARI for a two and a half month period. These students will also participate in the Graduate Forum.

Postgraduate students working on Southeast Asia are invited to submit abstracts based either on work in progress that is at an advanced stage (i.e. already completed data collection and analysis), or on completed work. NUS students are encouraged to take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with students from ASEAN as well as those from other regions whose interests focus on Southeast Asia.

This three-day forum, the seventh of an annual series of forums for graduate students who work on Southeast Asia, will be organised thematically. Themes broadly reflect (but are not limited to) the core research strengths of the Asia Research Institute, including  the Asian dynamics of religion, politics, economy, gender, culture, language, migration, urbanism,  science and technology, population and social change.

In addition to student presentations, experts from the region will also be invited to give keynote speeches, sharing their insights on challenges and issues facing contemporary social science scholarship.

Students whose proposals are selected for presentation at the forum will participate in the full 5 days of the Graduate Development Institute and Forum. Partial or full funding may be available for selected students. Funding will cover board and lodging for the duration of the forum, and in selected cases, air travel to Singapore by the most economical means.

SUBMISSION OF PAPER PROPOSAL
Graduate students should submit a 300-400 words abstract of their proposed paper using the attached form to Mr Jonathan Lee atjonathan.lee[atmark]nus.edu.sg no later than 19 March 2012. Click here for the Application Form.

The abstract should clarify the substantive issues which your paper will address and be firmly grounded in your own research project. Please include information on objectives, methods, and findings, as well as explain the original contribution the research makes to the field of study.

One confidential letter of recommendation from a supervisor should also be forwarded along with your form by the same date.

Successful applicants will be notified by 9 April 2012.

Those selected will have to submit full-length papers, of around 4,000-5,000 words in length, by 18 June 2012.

The film shows the events that happened recently in Cambodia by archive images. This country has known more than 3 different regimes in 50 years. We discover the Sangkum Restr Niyum when Cambodians lived happily, then the unfortunate regimes of Lon Nol and Khmer Rouge.
