「平成21年度京都大学地域研究統合情報センター共同研究ワークショップならびに全国共同利用研究報告会」のお知らせ
地域研究統合情報センターでは、下記の通り、平成21年度全国共同利用研究報告会を、またそれに先立ち、共同研究ワークショップを開催します。中長期的に取り組む地域研究の重要課題を「相関型地域研究プロジェクト」「地域情報資源共有化・地域情報学プロジェクト」「英国議会資料プロジェクト」「地域研究方法論プロジェクト」としてかかげ、複層型の共同研究によって、全国共同利用施設としての研究活動を行っている本センターとして、今回で3回目となります。多数の方のご来場をお待ちしております。

趣旨 ： 共同研究の研究代表者および共同研究員の皆様にお集まりいただき、研究状況の進捗状況と成果についてご報告を受けて、研究成果の共有および、今後の研究に資する検討を行います。また、日頃別々に研究活動を実施している皆様に一同に会していただき、研究会の横の連携を深める機会を得ることも目的としています。

4/2-3 Yeak Loam Performing Arts Group @ Phnom Penh

Beautiful music drifts from the edge of Yeak Loam Lake in Rattanakiri province. It’s the sound of the Yeak Loam Performing Arts group – a community of ethnic minority musicians and performers – coming together to practice singing, dancing and playing their instruments.
The performance will evoke the feeling of the lake and the surrounding area of Yeak Loam. At once beautiful and eerie, a gong orchestra will also play 15 gongs at once.
The Yeak Loam Performing Arts group was formed four years ago and is renowned throughout Rattanakiri, where the artists perform their work, meet together and, through this, maintain a strong bond with their music and culture. Younger members join the group in order to learn traditional songs from elder teachers and performances are done in traditional costumes made by local artisans.
Performance is free, but the group will be accepting donations as well as selling handicrafts and musical instruments.

科学研究費補助金研究班「南アジアおよび東南アジアにおけるデーヴァラージャ信仰とその造形に関する基礎的研究」(研究代表者肥塚隆）の研究会を以下の4名の報告により開催いたします。一般の方々にも公開していますので、興味のある方にお知らせいただければ幸いです。

題 目：ラージャラージャ1世期の王権と寺院――アンコールとの比較を中心に
概 要：チョーラ朝のラージャラージャ1世（在位985-1016年）が造営したラージャラージェーシュヴァラ寺院は、規模の大きさや支配装置としての役割などの面で画期的な建築とされる。そこにみられる諸要素を同時代のアンコールと比較することで、両地域の王権と寺院のあり方を考えたい。

題 目：パッラヴァ朝寺院建築における「小祠堂装飾」に関する類型的考察
概 要：パッラヴァ朝期に建造されたヒンドゥー寺院建築の上部構造には小祠堂をモチーフとした装飾が施されている。これを、便宜上「小祠堂装飾」と称して、その配列パターンや細部意匠を類型化する。そして、その類型から、石窟寺院から単岩寺院、そして石積構築寺院への建築型式の展開に伴う小祠堂装飾の変容を探る。

題 目：南インドのヒンドゥー寺院とジャワ島のチャンディの建築構成の比較
概 要：南インドのパッラヴァ、チョーラ期寺院の建築構成、とりわけ、立面構成に見られる建築的要素の配列パターンに関する所見を報告する。さらに、ジャワ島のチャンディ建築のそれとの比較を通じ、両者の主たる相違として、「基壇」の意匠的な相違に着眼し、それが両者の建築的発展の分岐となり、結果、ジャワ島においては、ボロブドゥール造営の流れに繋がった可能性についても指摘する。

題 目：パガンとチョーラ ～ ベンガル湾世界における交渉の一齣
概 要：パガン王国の対外関係については、仏教美術の点から東インドとの交流が、上座仏教の導入という点ではスリランカとの交渉が強調されてきたが、最近注目されつつあるベンガル湾世界の成立と興隆という観点に立てば、南インド、マレー半島との交渉にも注意を払う必要がある。今回の報告は、その第一歩として、ナーガパッティナム出土のブロンズ仏に注目してパガン王国とチョーラ王国との関係を考えていきたい。

2. What are the main problems in Cambodian education system? What should we do to solve those problems?
3. Being a youth of this generation and a leader of the next, how do you contribute to Cambodia?

ELIGIBILITY: Each participant must

For April 2010 Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) is sponsoring a tour of the USA by two of Cambodia's most talented young musicians carrying on thousand year old traditions from the time of Angkor Wat.
Durning Cambodian New Year month (April) Sinat Nhok and Srey Peou Pheoun will journey for the first time from Phnom Penh to the USA, touring Cambodian Communities across the USA.
Both students grew up children of rice farmers in rural Cambodia whose talents were spotted by CLA. They have been trained in ancient traditions of poetry chanting and classical wedding music by three of the few old masters of these forms to survive Pol Pots genocide.
Their performances, coordinated with projected images of their homeland and a children's book being published in the USA about Sinat, include Srey Peou chanting poetry (accompanied by Sinat on the tro khmer or Cambodian violin), and talking about her passion for ancient poetry. Sinat will demonstrate all seven ancient instruments in the CD of classical wedding music that accompanies the children's book.
CLA brings this performance to demonstrate a dream coming true- that Cambodia become known around the world not for the killing fields or only the stones of Angkor, but for its vibrant and beautiful living arts.

Marguerite Duras
L'œuvre de Marguerite Duras est profondément imprégnée de l'Indochine où elle passa les vingt premières années de sa vie. Elle est née au Vietnam en 1914. Du Cambodge, elle connut, petite, Phnom Penh où ses parents furent enseignants, puis la région de Kampot et Ream où sa mère avait acquis une concession, épisode qui lui inspira son premier grand roman Un Barrage Contre le Pacifique (1950). L'Amant, récit autobiographique de sa jeunesse asiatique lui a valu le prix Goncourt en 1984. Elle est morte à Paris en avril 1996. Son œuvre est à la fois romanesque, théâtrale, cinématographique et critique et se déroule en « cycles » et glissements de formes et de thèmes. Au centre, le processus créateur de l’écriture pour traquer « l'ombre interne » que chacun porte en soi. Ainsi même le cinéma chez M. Duras reste un cinéma de la signification et comme le dit Dominique Noguez, Duras « nous offre ce plaisir de plus en plus menacé : sans rien renoncer des pouvoirs de l'image, faire resplendir dans les salles les vertus de la parole littéraire. Faire le cinéma de la littérature ». Cependant l'aventure cinématographique est pour M. Duras, une tentative, par l'image, de dépasser les limites de l'écrit.

M. Duras signe le scénario et les dialogues de Hiroshima mon amour d'Alain Resnais en 1959, réalise son premier film Détruire, dit-elle en 1961, à partir duquel elle va inventer une esthétique nouvelle. Confrontant le pouvoir du mot et celui de l'image, elle fait voler en éclats les notions habituelles de son, espace, temps, instaure une durée particulière… M. Duras avait dit « India Song se bâtira d'abord par le son, puis par la lumière ». Ainsi apparaît son chef-d'œuvre considéré comme l'un des vingt grands films du cinéma : autonomie entre le film « des voix et du son » et le film des images, modulation picturale de la lumière et des couleurs, somptueux travellings ou plans fixes, sens de la suggestion… M. Duras explorera à leur tour les limites de l’image jusqu'à aboutir à « l'écran noir » de « l'homme Atlantique » (1981). Son dernier film Les Enfants (1984) de facture plus classique, est un retour au simple plaisir de filmer une histoire en se jouant des différences entre les genres. La force poétique, émotionnelle, subversive des films de M. Duras reste aujourd’hui intacte. « L'image, c'est elle qui est le plus apte à recréer le choc de l'événement » disait-elle

Phnom Penh-based curator and arts consultant Erin Gleeson will share her lecture given at the 6th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT6) International Symposium.
The Presence of the Past considers the role of memory and narratives of art, religion, and culture that inform the work of three generations of Cambodian artists – Vandy Rattna, Pich Sopheap, Rithy Panh, and Svay Ken – who were the first Cambodians selected to participate in the seminal APT6 held at the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane Australia through April 2010.
Fiona Cochaud, Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy Phnom Penh will briefly introduce the significance of Australia and specifically APT’s role in supporting the development of contemporary art in the region.

【学習内容】
本講座は、カンボジア語を初めて学習する方を対象とします。1年間をかけて文字と発音、文法、会話を学び、カンボジア語の基礎を習得することを目標にします。春期講座では、まず、カンボジア語の少々雑な文字に慣れるため、授業の前半に、文字と発音の仕組みを少しずつ学習します。授業の後半では、テキストのスキットを通じて基本的な文法事項を学び、短い文章の作成と簡単な会話（挨拶、自己紹介、質問）ができるようになることを目指します。
【学習方法】
授業は、テキスト①を中心に行いますが、その他、カンボジア語の語彙やそれに関連する社会・文化的背景も楽しみながら学べるよう、適宜テキスト②や、プリントなどの補助教材も用いる予定です。
【受講者に期待する到達レベル】
カンボジア語の基礎的な読み書きができるようになること、挨拶や自己紹介などの簡単な会話ができるようになることを目標に頑張りましょう。

【学習内容】
本講座は、カンボジア語を初めて学習する方を対象とします。1年間をかけて文字と発音、文法、会話を学び、カンボジア語の基礎を習得することを目標にします。春期講座では、まず、カンボジア語の少々雑な文字に慣れるため、授業の前半に、文字と発音の仕組みを少しずつ学習します。授業の後半では、テキストのスキットを通じて基本的な文法事項を学び、短い文章の作成と簡単な会話（挨拶、自己紹介、質問）ができるようになることを目指します。
【学習方法】
授業は、テキスト①を中心に行いますが、その他、カンボジア語の語彙やそれに関連する社会・文化的背景も楽しみながら学べるよう、適宜テキスト②や、プリントなどの補助教材も用いる予定です。
【受講者に期待する到達レベル】
カンボジア語の基礎的な読み書きができるようになること、挨拶や自己紹介などの簡単な会話ができるようになることを目標に頑張りましょう。

【学習内容】
この講座では、カンボジア語を通じてもっとたくさんカンボジアについて知りたい、学びたい、という方を大歓迎します。中級は、既にカンボジア語初級レベルを学習したことがある、文字の仕組みや基本的な文法は理解している、という方を対象とします。
【学習方法】
授業は、文字の読み書きがある程度は出来る、ことを前提として進めていきます。テキスト第15課から始めます。また、カンボジアの小学校1年生、2年生程度で使われている国語教科書等を教材として、短文を読む予定です。
【受講者に期待する到達レベル】
春期講座の目標は、「日記を書く」です。頑張りましょう。

Dr. GOTO worked for the International Labor Organization (ILO) Bangkok Office for 2 years.
This training will be held in an interactive way and easy step-by-step instruction which will enable participant to catch up with the course well. The training will be conducted in English. Only 30 participants are accepted (First Come First Serve). Materials, certificate of attendance, and coffee breaks will be provided.

Lecture by Cambodian Human Rights Activist Somaly Mam

Speaker – Somaly Mam
During this lecture Somaly Mam will speak about her childhood, being sold in sexual slavery at the age of 12, escaping a life of poverty and violence and finally setting up an aid organization that helps other victims who have been sold into sexual slavery. Somaly: "I've committed my life to fighting this horrible scourge on humanity. Seeing innocent young women and children whose lives have been forever scarred leaves no doubt that they need a champion who is willing to invest all their time and energy towards eradicating the shameful practice of human trafficking. I cannot wage this fight alone and call upon anyone who cares about the innocent victims to donate their time, money and advocacy to this important cause. Each contribution means everything to the victims and know that I will be forever grateful for those who help make such an important difference." Her organization receives international support from numerous volunteers and celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, Susan Surandon and Petra Newcova. A TV crew from Dutch new program 1 Vandaag will make a reportage of the lecture. This lecture is made possible by the International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS), ASiA Studies Amsterdam, Movies that Matter and Amnesty International.
Background
Somaly Mam is one of the world's leading and most influential social activists. Somaly's younger years were characterized by extreme poverty and violence. By the time she was 5, the Khmer Rouge controlled Cambodia, and already 1.5 million people had been killed. Torture, executions and forced labor were widespread. As Time Magazine reports: "Families fled for safety, and massive internal displacement decimated Cambodian society in the years that followed." By the time she was 12 Somaly was sold into sexual slavery by a man who claimed to be her grandfather. "She eventually ended up in a Phnom Penh brothel, beginning a decade of horrific rape and torture." Eventually she was able to escape and with the help of French aide workers was able to flee from Cambodia in1993.
In 1996, Somaly established a Cambodian non-governmental organization called AFESIP (Agir Pour les Femmes en Situation Precaire). Under her leadership, AFESIP employs a holistic approach that ensures victims not only escape their plight, but have the emotional and economic strength to face the future with hope. With the launch of The Somaly Mam Foundation in 2007, Somaly has established a funding vehicle to support anti-trafficking organizations and to provide victims and survivors with a platform from which their voices can be heard around the world.
For her tireless efforts, Somaly has justifiably garnered world-wide respect and is now a renowned leader at the forefront of the anti-trafficking struggle. Universally recognized as a visionary for her courage, dignity, ingenuity, and resilience, Somaly was honored as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2009 and was featured as a CNN Hero. She is also the recipient of the Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation, The World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child (WCPRC), Glamour Magazine's 2006 Woman of the Year Award, and has won accolades from the US Department of Homeland Security.

Depuis cinq ans, un projet Khmero-Thaïlandais, étudie les provinces du Nord-est du Cambodge et le plateau du Korat, en Thaïlande.
Ces études ont porté sur la voie de circulation, la communication et les lieux de vie de l’empire khmer, de Angkor à Phimai.
M. Im Sokrithy, chercheur au département de la culture et de recherche à l’autorité APSARA, viendra nous parler de ce projet et répondre à vos questions.
